The Voice of Children

A project born to give children and young people the opportunity to express themselves freely, allowing adults to listen to their voices, wisdom, and needs.

What we accomplished:

This completed initiative focused on three key areas:

Listening to Children

We collected interviews, drawings, and messages from children aged 5-12 about their school and social life. Through creative activities like the “Little Messengers of Soplo” (decorated swallows carrying children’s messages) and peace-themed events, children shared their emotions, dreams, and perspectives on the world around them.

Educating Adults

We published articles to inform and motivate adults to take responsibility for children’s wellbeing. Each article highlighted a specific theme, provided concrete actions people could take, and offered resources for deeper understanding.

Concrete Actions

In collaboration with the Astrea association, we supported children and families in difficult situations in Syracuse, Sicily, through fundraising initiatives.

Why it mattered:

The world can truly listen when we create space for children’s voices. Understanding children’s real daily conditions and genuine needs is essential—because the cognitive and behavioral patterns they learn today shape the adults they will become tomorrow.
