A new cello for Idil

Project Details
Idil (14 years old) is the daughter of Rojbin, Tim’s Kurdish friends who live in Lisbon. They came to live in Portugal about six years ago so Rojbin could finish her doctorate in mathematics. Today, Idil speaks perfect Portuguese, in fact, she’s indistinguishable from a Portuguese girl. She is very intelligent and mature for her age. She studied cello at the Lisbon Conservatory.
To continue her studies, she needed a new instrument… but like so many people in Portugal right now, Rojbin and Idil are suffering from the economic crisis. Even with a doctorate, Rojbin barely earns enough to survive, so buying a new cello for Idil without outside help is out of the question.
With the efforts of “Aliento del Viento,” Idil and Rojbin, and thanks to the generosity of a dozen people, there is now enough money to buy a new cello to allow Idil to continue her music studies.
