Every day is a day to save Children

“The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality.

JAMES BALDWIN American writer and civil rights activist”

It’s important to defend children, wherever they are. Every child that grows up in war is signed for life. We need to open our eyes and have the courage to see what is happening. Too much children or growing up in war and too many are victim of genocides in several places in the world.

There is a big difference between both. In war children are unwanted, non-target victims of a situation that has to be resolved as soon as possible. In genocide every way is used to harm children in stead of political structures, soldiers, … The goal of a genocide is exterminate a population, and therefore it becomes a goal to prevent children from growing up (to healthy adults).

We know in this moment more about the situation of the Palestine children then about other children that are victim of genocide. By showing their situation we want to the wake up people, make them aware that if we accept ongoing genocide , we are loosing really any common sense of moral. It’s unacceptable that children are a target and they don’t receive at least a minimum of food , health and human care.

Every day is a day to save children
  • +64,000 children killed or injured
  • +450 infants born and martyred during the genocide
  • 1,015 children killed under one year old
  • 154 children killed by starvation due to the siege
  • 14 children died from cold in displacement camps

The numbers above are gross underestimations, reflecting children killed who have been identified through a hospital system. The accurate number is significantly higher.”

Orphans, trauma and forced displacement.

Orphans, trauma, and forced displacement

+56,000 Palestinian children have been orphaned, having lost one or both parents in attacks, forming one of the largest surges of orphaning caused by a single military campaign in modern times.

These children now live without shelter, family protection, or safe environments, and face long-term psychological trauma that will shape their entire lives.”

Permanent injuries and untreated medical emergencies

“Permanent injuries and untreated medical emergencies

  • ≈4,000 children in Gaza have lost one or more limbs
  • +5,200 children urgently need medical evacuation”
Engineered famine as policy
  • ≈650,000 children in Gaza face slow death from severe food shortages and what is described as engineered starvation..
  • ≈40,000 infants are at risk of dying because infant formula remains largely unavailable, signaling deliberate targeting of newborns as part of a broader genocidal strategy.”
