Never Say I Can’t: World Down Syndrome Day Celebration
On World Down Syndrome Day 2018, Aliento del Viento participated in a public celebration in Syracuse’s Piazza Santa Lucia with a powerful message: “Vietato dire non ce la faccio” (It’s forbidden to say “I can’t do it”).
The event brought together children and families from the community to celebrate abilities, not limitations. Organized in collaboration with AIPD Siracusa (Associazione Italiana Persone Down), the Comune di Siracusa, and numerous local organizations, the gathering created a joyful public space where people with and without Down syndrome came together.
